FROM VENICE TO DELHI VIA GRANADA
Already before graduating in Oriental Languages and Civilisations at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, I had already spent time studying, living and working in Spain, India and Pakistan. Back in London, I dedicated myself to environmental politics studies and video journalism, joining a young web tv project - VisionOnTv - for which I filmed and produced videos and shows.
ON THE BORDER
When the protests started in Northern Africa, I flew to Lampedusa, a small island located on the Southern border of the EU to follow the development of the situation and document the movement of people fleeing from that area in turmoil. Here I became a member of the Askavusa Association with whom I have worked on a few projects such as the Museum of Migration, now PortoM and the LampedusaInFestival, the southernmost point of Europe film festival.
JAPAN MON AMOUR
In 2012 I founded a documentary production company - Terra Firma Docs -with some friends. I have now left the company - hopefully in good hands - to be entirely independent. Since then, I have worked and collaborated on various documentaries and short films and have been invited to talk and screen material about Lampedusa in some Universities. Now I am filming my new documentary about a small group of shamans living in Japan thanks to the generous help of the Sasakawa Foundation.
